Suge Knight's Attorney Was Dismissed From His Murder Case After This Heinous Act
In the world of Suge Knight, things can never be simple. As the hip-hop community knows, the Death Row Records CEO has been on trial in regards to murder charges. While the case has already endured a lengthy process, it seems it may be extended. Knight is reportedly on the hunt for another lawyer after his old litigator, Matthew Fletcher, was reportedly dismissed from his case for witness tampering.
According to reports, Fletcher is accused of bribing various witnesses, according to The Source. He allegedly attempted “to assist the defendant in procuring Witnesses for his defense, which included payments for fabricated testimony.” In other words, Fletcher helped Suge convince people to lie for him.
Knight is reportedly facing a life sentence after being charged with second-degree murder in the hit and run of Terry Carter on the set of the NWA biopic Straight Outta Compton. The West Coast mogul was also slapped with several charges of bribery and obstruction after he allegedly threatened director F. Gary Gray onset of the film.
Suge and his legal team reportedly pleaded not guilty to all charges, but his future isn’t looking too bright. On top of the allegations against him and Fletcher, Suge’s fiancée, Toilin Kelly, was indicted in connection to his murder case, according to The Hollywood Reporter. She is reportedly accused of committing several conspiracy charges. Kelly’s offenses will reportedly not be added to Knight's long list of incriminations, but she clearly won’t be called upon as a character witness.
As for Fletcher, it has not been confirmed whether he will be formally charged for witness bribing or how it will affect Suge’s case moving forward.
