Thousands of Fans Signed a Petition for Snoop to Do What?
Snoop Dogg could be the new voice of Planet Earth, at least if over 30,000 fans have their way.
The hip hop icon recently narrated a few clips of the famous BBC series for Jimmy Kimmel Live in a segment called “Plizzanet Earth,” and he did so well that a fan launched a Change.org petition to get the smooth-voiced rapper to narrate the entire series.
This would be a big departure from the original voice over, which was done by Sir David Attenborough. But Snoop's version clearly has fans wanting for more. Kelly Ooton, the hero who started the petition, states, “Snoop Dogg has narrated some Planet Earth in the past but yo we need him to narrate full episodes. Sign the petition if you agree.”
The petition has been going strong for two weeks and already has 31,280 supporters — including Snoop himself. He tweeted out the link and encouraged fans to sign:
The rapper has since been retweeting media coverage of the growing number of supporters and seems to be quite interested in the prospect of becoming the new voice for Mother Earth. That would be one way to save the environment.
