Migos Walked Off On This Interview And We Have So Many Questions
We won’t go so far as to say that Atlanta’s Culture trap trio Migos has made a habit of ditching interviews in the most abrupt manner possible — yet.
But after their latest walk-out during a conversation with Dana Cortez following their Mala Luna Music Festival appearance, it looks to be heading that way.
The hostess of The Dana Cortez Show sat down with Quavo, Offset and Takeoff after their set to get their reactions about the performance. Quavo took the lead in the cringeworthy, two-minute interview right before passing the mic to Offset, who spoke briefly about his recent engagement to his now-fiancée, “Bodak Yellow” star Cardi B.
“I turned it in,” Offset said of the public proposal on the Powerhouse stage. “Yeah, that’s on lock. That’s mine.”
Cortez continues probing for more details before we see Takeoff, seated between the other two members, appear to interact with someone who is off-camera. Eventually, all three of the men respond to the unnamed person’s verbal cues and the interview is cut short as they all stand to leave. But not before Quavo gets a chance to floss his $100,000 Quality Control chain and smile his diamond-studded grills into the camera, though.
“Happy Halloween, we got to go catch this jet — so sorry,” he concluded before stepping off. “We just rocked the show. We love y’all so much.”
But, that was questionable, according to Cortez. She shared with My San Antonio afterward that she believed the three were snatched from the interview because of Offset’s transparency about the engagement.
"I knew they didn't have a plane to catch," she reportedly said. "It was very awkward. I've never had anything like it. I can't say that they were angry, they were really cool, but it was kind of like a manager who was upset that Offset was so forthcoming."
