August Alsina Reportedly Flashed a Gun at Fans
Prayers have been up for New Orleans heartthrob crooner August Alsina since he revealed the unfortunate news that he’s been battling liver disease, where his autoimmune system fights against itself and causes him continual illness.
Apparently, his announcement didn’t reach a quadrant of harassing fans, who Alsina took unexpected measures to protect himself against, TMZ reports.
According to TMZ’s law enforcement sources, the site points out, the Testimony crooner was shopping at a San Fernando Valley Food 4 Less grocery store on Wednesday night (June 7) before four fans approached him for photos.
Despite Alsina telling them that he didn’t feel well and turning down the picture, they reportedly refused to leave him alone. TMZ adds that an employee called the police on the three girls and one guy after witnessing the encounter, and the fans continued pursuing him as he left the store.
When Alsina got to his car, TMZ reports, he grabbed a gun and positioned it on his waistband, flashing the butt of the weapon to the fans as they neared closer. It’s worth pointing out that law enforcement stated he did not threaten the group or point the gun at them, but still documented the brandishing a firearm report from the fans. Alsina had left before authorities arrived, but not that it made much of a difference. TMZ reports that officers said the claims are their word against Alsina’s, so there likely will be no legal repercussions.
Though Alsina nor his team have responded to reports of the situation, let this be a lesson to all fans: no means no.
