Chris Brown's Bodyguard Sues Drake
Regulators, lawyer up.
Chris Brown's longtime bodyguard is suing Drake over injuries he sustained during last summer’s nightclub brawl between the two music superstars and their entourages. It’s the eighth lawsuit (at least) prompted by the throwdown.
The bodyguard, Patrick Strickland, 43, of Queens Village, NY, says he was defending Brown on June 13 at W.i.P. nightclub in Manhattan when Drake allegedly had a server deliver a note to Rihanna's then-ex that read, "I am f----g the love of your life," according to the Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit filed yesterday by attorney Hunter Shkolnik.
A massive bottle-throwing brawl followed, during which someone smashed a vodka bottle over Strickland’s head. Doctors used 25 stitches to close the wound.
Strickland, who still works for Breezy, is also suing the club for an unspecified sum.
