Camille Cosby Continues to Defend Her Husband in Unsealed Deposition
It's no secret that Camille Cosby's February deposition in a defamation case against her husband Bill Cosby brought by several women was pretty combative. Now, transcripts of the deposition have been made public and from the looks of her words, a lot was off-limits for the fallen star's wife.
According to NBC News, during the eight hour-long deposition, she was questioned heavily on the accusations made against husband and their marriage.
At one point, she was even asked, "Now, can we agree that throughout your marriage that your husband betrayed the sanctity of your marital home?," and also, "Would you agree that throughout your marriage, Mr. Cosby used his position, power to manipulate young women?" The judge instricted her to not answer.
She was even asked about honesty during the deposition, and what is means, to which she responded, "I'm not going to expound on this." When she was told she was required to answer, she simply said, "I do not have to. I'm done."
During her second deposition, two months after the first, her and Bill Cosby's attorneys said she had "no relevant non-privileged information to offer in this case."
"Mrs. Cosby was able to persevere and cooperate in today's proceedings to the best of her abilities," they said. "We are thankful for this distraction to now be over."
