Flo Rida, Natalie La Rose Back Out of Miss USA Pageant Performance
Donald Trump’s seditious remarks about Mexican immigrants, is ruining his Miss USA Pageant.
According to the Associated Press, reps for Flo Rida, and Natalie La Rose confirmed yesterday that neither will perform at the pageant, in response to Trump stereotyping Mexicans immigrants as “rapists” and drug dealers, during his presidential bid announcement.
“We are disheartened by recent events but the show will go on, “ pageant organizers said in a statement.
Flo and the "Somebody" singer, who is signed to his label, are the latest to walk from the Trump-affiliated pageant after NBC dropped Miss USA from its programming lineup (the show later got picked up by the REELZ network), and ended their long relationship with the billionaire real estate tycoon. Miss USA hosts Cheryl Burke and Thomas Roberts walked as well, as did two of the judges: retired NFL great Emmitt Smith, and Jonathan Scott, of the show Property Brothers.
Trump’s words offended more people than he probably bargained for. Macy’s ended up dropping his line from their stores, while Univision, TV Company, Ora TV, and Mexican TV company, Televisa, all severed ties with him.
