SMH: Find Out How Donald Trump Tried to Recreate Racial Segregation on 'Celebrity Apprentice'
Need proof of Donald Trump's twisted view of race relations in America? Look no further than a 2005 episode of his syndicated radio show, during which the Republican presidential candidate revealed a scary idea to racially segregate his popular competition show, The Apprentice.
"To be honest, I wasn't particularly happy with the most recent season," Trump said on the show, according to Entertainment Weekly. "So this time around, I wanted to do the casting myself."
In order to mix things up, the GOP nominee floated the idea of separating teams based on race. "An idea that is fairly controversial – creating a team of successful African-Americans versus a team of successful whites. Whether people like that idea or not, it is somewhat reflective of our very vicious world," he said
He brought the idea up again while speaking with Howard Stern months later, but acknowledged that "not everyone thinks it's a good idea."
No kidding, Donald.
