Meek Mill Recalls Harrowing Details About His Health In December 2019...

“I lost like 15 pounds and could barely move…”

Since its emergence out of the Wuhan province of China, more information has continued to surface about the coronavirus and its rampant spread.

  • Taking to Twitter on Tuesday (March 24), Meek Mill shared that he’s convinced he might have contracted the virus before the now-worldwide upsurge. The Philly MC revealed that he fell ill back in December of 2019 and right before China was hit in the first wave of cases.

“I was extremely sick in December around Christmas time with flu-like symptoms,” Meek recalled. “Everyday I said to myself  an older person cannot survive this! I lost like 15 pounds and could barely move! I [have] never been that sick.. a doctor never told me what it was.”

  • The most commonly reported symptoms that people have been experiencing from the coronavirus are (but not limited to) a fever, cough and shortness of breath, according to the Centers for Disease and Control (CDC)

Meek’s admission comes after the L.O.X’s Styles P speculated he also contracted the coronavirus months ago in January 2020 before the U.S. declared it a pandemic. Similar to Meek's experience, P’s health took a sudden downturn and he dropped eight pounds.

  • “Most of us will get or have had the virus! A lot of people were sick during [December] and January before they even announced the virus,” P noted on Twitter. “I’m no doctor but stay away from people [and] do things to boost your immune system, [and] rest up. And spread the word.”

It’s worth noting that the Championships rap artist has not revealed any official testing for the coronavirus nor have his suspicions been confirmed. However, his revelation serves a prompt reminder for everyone to continue maintaining their health and social distancing amid the climate of uncertainty.
