Initially, Tiger Woods’ caddie Steve Williams took the high road upon learning he had been fired by the world’s most famous golfer Wednesday.

Williams certainly changed his tune Thursday as he vented about being unceremoniously let go after 12 loyal years.

"I've stuck by him through and through," Williams told a news station. "Now he decides things aren't going well for him, and I'm down the road, so the timing's very disappointing."

Williams, a 47-year-old New Zealander, made the rounds Wednesday and Thursday discussing his dismissal. He said he felt betrayed and that he wasted the last two years with Woods. But of course Williams was paid well for services during Woods successful run.

As of late, however, Woods hasn’t been himself on the golf course and perhaps started looking at areas to improve. Williams very well could have been one of those areas. Still, Williams felt betrayed after sticking with Woods through the sex scandal a couple years ago, struggles on the course and stretch of inactivity as of late due to a leg injury.

Williams, who has been caddying for Adam Scott while Woods took time off, posted the following on his Website.

"Following the completion of the AT&T National I am no longer caddying for Tiger after he informed me that he needed to make a change. After 13 years of loyal service needless to say this came as a shock. Given the circumstances of the past 18 months working through Tiger's scandal, a new coach and with it a major swing change and Tiger battling through injuries I am very disappointed to end our very successful partnership at this time. I have had the opportunity to work of late for Australian Adam Scott and will now caddy for him on a permanent basis. Having started my caddying career with Australian great Peter Thompson and working for Greg Norman in the '80s I am excited about the future working for another Australian."
