DJ Boi Jeanius Has Chedda Da Connect and Chance the Rapper on Heavy Rotation
When you’re going up against the best DJs in the country, versatility is a must. For Chi-Town’s Red Bull Thre3style regional champ DJ Boi Jeanius, that Midwest-to-Texas connect currently serves as the perfect recipe for a balanced attack.
“Texas has my attention right now. Post Malone, Beatking and Chedda Da Connect are a few notable mentions,” Boi Jeanius revealed to BET.com. “I bring it back to the Midwest with Chance the Rapper, Vic Mensa and G-Scott," he added.
The Windy City has long been known for it’s turntable talent and it is some of that very same Midwest talent that continues to influence Boi Jeanius to hone his craft.
“[I love] A-Trak for always pushing the boundaries and for his willingness to share his wisdom on deejaying with the masses on a global scale,” said Boi Jeanius. “He leads the #realdjing movement that I so proudly represent.”
He continued, “I also look up to DJ Craze. The man is the absolute coldest DJ in the world. His technical skills are out of the world. I wish to one day sit down with him and just pick his brain about all things DJ related.”
Though hip hop stays coursing through his veins at all times, Boi Jeanius prides himself on being well-rounded.
“I’m pretty eclectic when it comes to my personal music selection so I might throw on some 213 or Nas next to some Womack and Womack and Jamiroquai,” Boi Jeanius noted. "Deep house has been in my realm as well. Good and fun music stays in my ear.”
