Mase is Jokingly Confused Over New Arrest in Tupac Murder Case
For those who have been following Tupac’s murder since it happened in 1996, the name Keefe D has always been one that’s been alleged to be connected with the case. For Mase, though, he’s not as familiar and has questions.
Last week, Keefe (born Duane Davis) was arrested in connection with the West Coast hip-hop legend’s death in Las Vegas. However, during a recent episode of It Is What It Is, a show he co-hosts with Cam’ron, Mase was confused over who the suspect was.
During the “trash moments of the week” segment on the program with special guest @bubbadub94, the arrest was brought up: "Keefe D? Trash," he said. "Done told on ya own damn self, Keefe D. All them damn interviews."

This subsequently prompted Cam’ron to ask the special segment host to explain further what happened regarding the arrest, which had him repeating Keefe D’s name, and then Mase to ask why that name “sounds familiar” to him.
"I'm not playing. Where do I know that name from?" he asked. "Because I’m still kinda lost. For real, I don’t know what you talking about."
@bubbadub94, amid further questions asked by Cam and Mase, mentioned Bad Boy Records, a label founded by Diddy and included Mase on the roster.
"When I heard that name, I was like, I heard the name before. It didn’t really click like that," said Mase, who also called for "justice" in the 2Pac case later in the episode.
