The New York Jets No Longer Want Braylon Edwards' Services \r \r \r
Apparently New York Jets receiver Braylon Edwards isn’t feeling the love.
At least that is what Edwards expressed to his followers on his Twitter account Wednesday. The hot and cold free agent receiver had been hoping for an offer to remain with the Jets but all he has heard so far is silence.
"I would love to be a Jet but the feeling doesn’t seem to be mutual with the management," Edwards tweeted Wednesday.
The Jets appear more interested in keeping receiver Santonio Holmes and acquiring free agent cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha than keeping a receiver who has battled through inconsistency throughout his career in Cleveland and in New York. ESPN is reporting the Jets have given Holmes a new five-year contract that is worth $50 million, with $24 million guaranteed.
Edward certainly has shown enough that he will be picked up by another team, like the Minnesota Vikings. But it doesn’t appear the Jets will be that team.
