Watch: Magic Johnson Has Some Words for Klay Thompson and His Pops

See how the Hall of Famer stacks his Showtime Lakers up against Dub Nation.

Magic Johnson isn't here for talk about the Golden State Warriors being able to beat his "Showtime" Los Angeles Lakers of the late 1980s, despite what Klay Thompson and his dad, Mychal Thompson, have to say about it.

The Hall of Famer and five-time NBA champ took offense to the Thompsons' assertion that these Warriors could beat his Lakers, despite Golden State winning a single-season league record of 73 games this season.

Peep how Magic stated his case on Twitter and ESPN's First Take on Tuesday.

This comes after Klay interrupted teammate Draymond Green Sunday night after the Warriors went up 2-0 in the NBA Finals and he was asked if this Golden State squad could be compared to a great NBA team of the past.

"We are better than the 'Showtime' Lakers," Klay told reporters.

Ironically enough, Klay's pops, Mychal, agreed with his son, despite being Magic's teammate, which delivered L.A. back-to-back titles from 1987-88.

"I admit this. We would shoot. And we shot eight 3's a game. They make eight 3's a quarter," Mychal said Monday on the Thompson and Trudell Show on ESPN LA 710, as reported by ESPN.com. "Golden State would outscore us 50-15 on 3's. So how are we supposed to win? So I agree with Klay, I think they would beat us. We couldn't keep up with them offensively because of the way they can score so quickly."

Could Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and these Warriors run Magic, Kareem Abdul-JabbarJames Worthy and the Lakers off the court?

Hmm... sounds like a barbershop debate for the ages. Who you got?
