Master P is Set to Deliver Keynote at Grambling State University’s Fall Commencement

The hip-hop mogul joins a list of past notable speakers, including former President Bill Clinton.

Hip hop mogul Percy "Master P" Miller is preparing to inspire the next generation of leaders when he delivers the keynote address at Grambling State University's Fall Commencement later this week.

The No Limit Records founder is set to address graduates at the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center on Grambling's campus.

The university announced the news with a photo of the business mogul, author, and philanthropist on Instagram. Supporters of the industry veteran cheered his accomplishment.

“As the founder of No Limit Records, he revolutionized the music industry by creating a blueprint for independent success,” the university said in a statement shared by the AP. “Under his leadership, the label sold over 100 million records globally and helped launch and sustain the careers of music legends like Snoop Dogg, Mia X, and Silkk the Shocker. Miller’s entrepreneurial reach extends beyond music to include investments in apparel, luxury goods, food, and film production, cementing his reputation as a visionary business leader.”

Past speakers have included Education Secretary Rod Paige, former Apple executive Denise Smith Young, and former President Bill Clinton, who spoke on May 13, 1999. 

Earlier this year, Master P was appointed New Orleans Entertainment Ambassador and recently introduced the NOLA Walk of Fame, a tribute to the contributions and achievements of New Orleans natives.
