Tyrese Banned From Delaware Radio Station

On air incident causes rift with station execs.

In a strange turn of events for Delaware's R&B fans, Tyrese has been banned from the airwaves at the state's largest hip hop station after clashing with a DJ during a recent interview.
The R&B star was booted out of KISS 101.7 after an on air rant against the practice of allowing liquor stores in the state to open up across the street from elementary schools. And now the station has removed his music from their schedule.
"I just kicked out of a radio station from a PD who had a problem w/ me speaking on liquor stores that are by elementary schools in Delaware," Tyrese tweeted after the incident. "In 17 years I hv NEVER been kicked out of a radio station. Because I have a problem w/ liquor stores being across from elementary schools?"
In an interview with TMZ, 101.7's Tony Quartarone claimed Tyrese wasn't kicked out and banned because of his statements about liquor stores, but because the station saw his use of the word "homies" as disrespectful.
Since the bizarre standoff, Tyrese has stood his ground, despite 101.7's demand for an apology.
"If you don't STAND for something.. You will damn near fall for Anything," he tweeted.
