Beyoncé And Jay Z Bring Tour To An Emotional Close
Beyoncé and Jay Z are no longer on the run. The power couple's record-breaking trek ended on Saturday (Sept. 13) to a rousing Paris crowd that looked on as music's first couple traded compliments before exiting the stage for the last time.
After a whirlwind of divorce and pregnancy rumors plagued them since June, Bey and Jay managed to keep their relationship in tact as usual and their final show proved to be a testament of just this.
The emotinal love-fest began when a teary-eyed Beyoncé told her hubby, "I'm your biggest fan. I love you so much. Give it up for Mr. Carter." Jigga then replied, "I wanna say it's been an honor and a pleasure sharing the stage with you. I couldn't dream of anything else to be in a stadium with the woman I love, who I believe is the greatest entertainer of our time. Make some noise for Beyoncé!"
Wrapping up their joint tour in France was anything but a coincidence. The couple reminded the Parisian audience of the special place that the City of Love holds in their hearts.
"We love Paris," the "Glory" rapper told the roaring crowd. "It's special to us because we got engaged here and this is where baby Blue was conceived.
If you haven't had the opportunity to witness the On The Run Tour first hand, you're not out of luck. Both Paris shows, which feature special performances of the "Flawless" (Remix)" with raptress Nicki Minaj, were taped for an HBO special set to air on Sept. 20 at 9:00 p.m. ET.
