Martin Richard, 8, was identified as one of three people who were killed in the tragic Boston Marathon bombings that wounded at least 154 people and caused unrest internationally on Monday afternoon.

Martin came to the race to cheer on his father who was running in the race. The boy's mother faced severe injuries to her brain and underwent surgery and his sister lost a leg.

The two others who died in the blasts have yet to be identified.

Many of the victims lost limbs in the explosions and also had limbs amputated while being treated at area hospitals. JP Norden, 33, and his brother, Paul, 31, each lost a leg in the explosion, NBC News reported. They were supporting a friend who was running in the marathon. 

The FBI and the White House have classified the Boston Marathon bombings as a terrorist attack. However, officials are not sure if the attack is domestic or international, CNN reports. Despite reports, there is not a suspect in custody.

Two explosions near the finish line at the Boston Marathon killed three people and injured more than 100 shortly before 3 p.m. EDT on Monday. 

A third device was found and was detonated by the Boston Police Department, the Boston Globe reports.
