Vivica A. Fox Shares An Update From Regina King Following The Death Of Her Son

“She’s surrounded by so much love,” Fox said during her ‘Cocktails and Queens’ show.

Vivica A. Fox is speaking on behalf of her longtime “friend and sister” Regina King following the death of her son Ian Alexander Jr., King’s only son died by suicide on Wednesday (Jan. 19) days after his 26th birthday.

During the segment of her show Cocktails with Queens on FOX Soul, the actress said that she had spent some time with King in person, adding that she is “so strong.”

“I was with Regina last night,” Vivica shared, trying to hold back tears. “She’s okay.”

She continued: “More than anything else is that I’m glad I got to hug her. I’m glad I got to look into her eyes.”

Fox also shared that The Harder They Fall actress wanted to update her fans with a brief message, revealing that she is “surrounded by so much love.”

“She said to tell everybody that she’s gotten y’all texts,” Fox said. “The outpouring of love for her, her family and her son…she appreciates it.”

Ian was King’s only child, whom she shared with ex-husband Ian Alexander Sr., 65.
