Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson steams up the August issue of Essence magazine, which has been devoted to the readers' top picks for the hottest men around, like Idris Elba, Boris Kodjoe, Lance Gross and Michael Ealy to name a few. For The Rock's cover story, the fit actor with the megawatt smile talks about the art of kissing, what he's learned since his divorce and what he's looking for in a relationship.
"I want someone who can trust that my big hands are going to take care of them," Johnson says. And by that he means he will take care of you in every way imaginable.
"…When I say I'm going to take care of a woman, I don't just mean physically or sexually or romantically. I'm going to take care of her emotionally and spiritually. I'm going to take care of her in all ways. I take a lot of pride in that today."
What's not to love about that? In addition to touting the importance of "engaging in good conversation" and "embracing the power of kissing," Johnson also opened up about how his divorce from Dany Garcia made him a better man.
"I want to be a man who is truthful and who won't let pride get in the way of me ripping myself open to my partner and saying, 'Here I am. This is me.' I feel there's something powerful when a man reaches a point in his life when he can be completely vulnerable."
