Chicago Gun Violence: 7 Wounded This Past Weekend
This past weekend ended with seven people wounded in gun violence across the city of Chicago. A shoot out happened on an expressway Saturday night, leaving three people injured, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
The individuals in the vehicle were driving around 9 p.m. on the city's South Side when someone from another vehicle opened fire on them. They were able to drive themselves to the hospital where they were treated for "none life-threatening" injuries.
On Friday evening, a 15-year-old boy was shot in the neck while he was walking down the street. He was taken to a children's hospital, where he was reportedly listed in stable condition. A 21-year-old man was shot while leaving a party on Saturday at 3:30 a.m. He was listed in serious condition.
A 21-year-old and 25-year-old man were also wounded in the string of attacks this weekend.
