Tyra and André Leon Talley Give the Skinny on Skinny Jeans
It’s another dose of video diary “Fa-fa-fa-Fashion” from Tyra Banks and Vogue contributing editor André Leon Talley, and this week the stylish tag team tackles skinny jeans. Read on to become a jean genius.
Creating the magic of a bigger or smaller butt: “If you have a bigger booty and you want it to look smaller, you need bigger pockets on your skinny jeans. When you have little pockets on your booty on skinny jeans, it makes it look bigger, get it? So, flatter booty, smaller pockets; bigger booty, bigger pockets.”
Tyra’s dirty little secret: “The reason why I love jeans is because I can wear them for like three or four or five or six weeks and not wash them, and you don’t know that they’re dirty.”
Finding the perfect denim fit: “You can get custom jeans,” Banks advises Talley, who says he owns jeans but won’t wear them. The supermodel suggests ordering custom-made jeans online as an easy way to grab hold of the perfect fit.
André’s take on the skinny jean trend: The style maven makes it clear that he shies away from the idea of guys in the look, but his final answer: “A jean is for everyone.”
