Report: Grand Jury Could Charge Nick Gordon With Bobbi Kristina's Murder
The $10 million civil suit against Nick Gordon over the death of his girlfriend, Bobbi Kristina Brown, may be the least of his problems. Gordon is potentially facing murder charges as early as this week, People.com reports.
A source says that a grand jury in Georgia is being convened regarding Gordon. The grand jury would then decide, possibly this week, whether or not Gordon would face charges in relation to Brown's death. "The case remains open and under investigation," is all the district attorney will reveal at this time.
Gordon already faces a wrongful death lawsuit from Brown's conservator, Bedelia Hargrove, acting on behalf of the Brown and Houston families. The civil suit alleges that Gordon gave Brown a "toxic cocktail" and physically abused her before placing her face down in her bathtub, where she was found on January 31. The music scion never regained consciousness and died on July 26.
"The recent lawsuit against Nick is slanderous and meritless," his legal team said. "Nick has been heartbroken and destroyed over the loss of his love, and it's shameful that such baseless allegations have been presented publicly. Nick has engaged civil counsel and intends to defend the lawsuit vigorously and expose it for what it is: a fictitious assault against the person who loved Krissy most."
