Who knew that Raekwon, of Wu-Tang Clan fame, also offers economic advice on the side? Apparently Republican Illinois Senate Minority Leader Christine Radogno does. When the rapper was in Springfield earlier this week to perform at a hip-hop showcase, he shared some “financial advice.”

“Some of you may know that Raekwon from Wu-Tang Clan was in town, and I got some financial advice from him that I’d like to share with all of you, 'cause it does seem quite relevant,” she said on Wednesday during a meeting about the state’s budget crisis with fellow senators who probably did not know that the rapper was in town.

Here’s what he had to say:

 “The most precious thing in the world is the financial security and well-being of your family. You want to send your little ones to the best school and in the end you want to know you left them with peace of mind.”

It doesn’t end there, though. After sharing Raekwon’s words of wisdom, Radogno inexplicably began reciting lines from the Wu-Tang classic, “C.R.E.A.M.” “Nowadays we all know that cash rules everything around us. Cream. Get the money. Dollar dollar bill, y’all," she rapped—sort of. "Thank you!”
