Diddy Had a Talk With Kanye West About His Outbursts
Diddy had a talk with Kanye West about his public outbursts slamming other artists, he revealed on Watch What Happens Live Sunday (March 10) night. During a short round of rapid-fire questioning, the mogul was asked about Yeezy “diminishing other artists’ success in support of Beyoncé," and shared that he doesn’t agree with those methods.
“I spoke to Kanye, I don’t like it,” the Harlem native said of his friend.“What he’s saying, that’s what he believes and sometimes artists, they’re very vocal,” added Diddy.

West’s last Beyoncé-related rant was at the Grammys earlier this year. He bum-rushed the stage after Beck beat out Bey for Album of the Year, but had second thoughts. West later bashed the win in a post-show interview. The reaction seemed to be knee-jerk for Yeezus though because he later apologized.
“I just think that everybody’s doing their best at whatever they’re doing,” Diddy said of the Beck incident. “If somebody wins something, no matter what, it’s their moment.”
Before 'Ye, Diddy talked about Empire and the show’s likeness to his own life story. As Diddy understands it, the hit series pulls from a “bunch of people’s lives from the music industry," of different races.
“Once I saw that he was a criminal and ex drug dealer I knew it wasn’t about me,” he noted. “But you know I think that they, you know … [used my story] a little bit, but you know … I mean it’s plagiarism, a little bit."
There are no hard feelings: Diddy said that he enjoys the show and still considers Empire creator Lee Daniels a “great friend."
