"Oh Gawd Help Us!" Trump Considering These Options Against North Korea After Hydrogen Bomb Test
Early Sunday (September 3) in North Korea, a powerful ground swelling occured as a suspected nuclear weapons test was carried out by Kim Jong Un.
Hours afterward, the reclusive regime claimed they developed and tested a hydrogen bomb, calling it a “perfect success” of “unprecedented” strength.
The US Geological Survey recorded a 6.3 magnitude earthquake at a depth of 0.0 km and described the event as an “explosion.” South Korea’s government said they believed the North had conducted a nuclear test, according to Yonhap News Agency.
Cringing for a Donald Trump response via Twitter, we all ducked as the president did indeed offer a public rebuttal through the social media platform. It wasn’t pretty either, per usual.
"North Korea has conducted a major Nuclear Test. Their words and actions continue to be very hostile and dangerous to the United States,” he tweeted. “North Korea is a rogue nation which has become a great threat and embarrassment to China, which is trying to help but with little success.”
Perhaps even worse was his third and final tweet on the reported test, which seemed to lay blame on South Korea for supposedly not following Trump’s tough talk strategy against NK.
“South Korea is finding, as I have told them, that their talk of appeasement with North Korea will not work, they only understand one thing!” he wrote.
Earlier today, Trump was asked by a White House pool reporter whether the U.S. has plans to attack North Korea and his answer was anything but settling.
“We’ll see,” the president remarked.
The last time the North Korean government conducted a nuclear test was nearly a year ago, on September 8, which prompted a response from then-president Barack Obama and the United Nation’s Security Council. The UN also issued new sanctions on the country.
Suffice to say, social media was a little upset about the thought of a preeminent strike against North Korea. See their response below.
