You've Been Waiting for This: Jada Responds to Janet 'Aunt Viv' Hubert
Jada Pinkett Smith has responded to Janet "Aunt Viv" Hubert's shade-filled comments about her proposed Oscars boycott, and it's one of the classiest clap backs we've ever seen.
On Tuesday, Hubert posted a video blog calling Smith's motives "suspect" and implying that the A-lister only called for a boycott against the Academy Awards because her husband Will Smith wasn't nominated for Best Actor. When asked by paparazzi to respond, Jada took the high road.
"This whole Oscar controversy isn't really about the Oscars," she says to Entertainment Tonight. "Really, in my plea to ask all communities and people of color to take back our power is so that we can use it in all sectors of our community, and right now, specifically with African-American people, we have some very serious issues that I think we as a people have to move together on. I'm hoping we can find ways to step together in this instead of finding ways to fight each other. I got love for everybody."
