Cardi B Details Why She Rolled Up On Nicki Minaj During Fashion Week
Despite Nicki Minaj's constant jabs at Cardi B with her recent "Nicki Stopped My Bags" merch and ongoing Twitter meme, the Bronx femcee spoke with W Magazine weeks after their explosive brawl during New York Fashion Week.
While many speculated why these two rapstresses' brewing feud came to blows and some offered peaceful suggestions to settle the score, Bardi denounced a few rumors and cleared up some others.
Appearing agitated, Bardi states, "For a while now she’s been taking a lot of shots at me. I spoke to her twice before..."
Despite reaching an understanding, "she kept it going,” said the Invasion of Privacy rapper. Cardi's apparent breaking point was over a rumored tweet that Head Bard allegedly liked, belittling Cardi as a mother. "Barbie Dreams" femcee took to her notorious platform, Queen Radio, to discredit that allegation, saying she would never discuss someone's child or parenting because it's "clown sh*t."
Cardi spoke on her dropping out of Bruno Mars' 24K Magic tour, yet again. “I was going to make millions off my tour, and I sacrificed that to stay with my daughter, [Kulture]," she continued.
In defense of her actions, she did it for Kulture. “I love my daughter. I’m a good-ass f**king mom. So for somebody that don’t have a child to like that comment?" she replied. "So many people want to say that party wasn’t the time or the place, but I’m not going to catch [her] in the grocery store or down the block.”
As a new mom, Cardi simply stated, "my baby is all I give a f**k about right now"
Post-fight, Mrs. Cephus read Nicki for filth in an apoplectic statement, saying, "I've let a lot of s*** slide, but when you mention my child, you choose to like comments about me as a mother, make comments about my abilities to take care of my daughter is when all bets are f***in off!!"
During the interview, she also detailed the doubts everyone had in terms of balancing her pregnancy and budding career, and how she decided to marry Offset during an argument. Check out the full piece here.
