This Is How Janet Jackson Reportedly Feels About Joining Justin Timberlake At Super Bowl Halftime

There's just one catch.

There has been a lot of conversation surrounding Justin Timberlake’s Super Bowl Halftime Show. After his performance was confirmed, a number of fans speculated whether Janet Jackson would also make an appearance alongside her former collaborator.

The last time she entered the Super Bowl arena, it nearly destroyed her image. But apparently that incident hasn't deterred Jackson from making a comeback. In fact, the mega-star is reportedly open to performing with JT — on one condition.

According to a source at Entertainment Tonight, “the door is open” for Janet and Justin joining forces once again. But to show that there is no bad blood, it’s on JT to make the first move. “If Justin or his team did reach out, Janet would perform with him again in a minute,” the source told ET.

If things went smoothly, this would be the first time the duo have performed  together since the 2004 Super Bowl show, which resulted in Jackson’s wardrobe malfunction. The disaster, which was later dubbed as the “Nipplegate,” forced TV networks to cut a significant portion of the live show, and prompted five-second delays for future live performances.

After the recent Super Bowl announcement, fans took to Twitter using the hashtag #JusticeForJanet, demanding that she be issued an apology and invited on stage. Although it was assumed that the singer was banned from any Super Bowl, the NFL issued a statement denying the claims. “There’s no ban. We are not going to comment on any speculation regarding potential guests,” ABC News previously reported. “There may be no guests.”

It is unclear whether Timberlake has reached out to Jackson at this time. The 2018 Super Bowl will kick off on Feb. 4, 2018. So we'll just have to see if Janet and Justin will reunite then.
