Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg May Co-Headline Miami Concert

A rumored Memorial Day weekend show has fans buzzing.

Fans hoping to catch a memorable onstage reunion of Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg might want to start making plans to head down to Miami for Memorial Day.

According to Hip Hop blog, You Heard That New, there is a “massive event” featuring the pair scheduled for the holiday weekend. Details about the South Beach show are still very scant and of course nothing is set in stone.

Before fans get too excited though, they should be advised of Dre and Snoop’s track record with these types of promises. The producer and rapper tandem, who rose to rap prominence in the 90’s, haven’t collaborated consistently since their glory days together on Death Row Records. The pair once teased hip hop heads with the much-talked about release of their Break Up to Make Up album. While that project never materialized, the west coast legends did recently team up for “Kush,” the first single off Dr. Dre’s long-awaited Detox album.

If the Miami show does happen, it’ll mark the first major concert that the two have performed together in since Snoop was featured on Dre’s historic “Up In Smoke” tour in 2000.
