Players, Game Makers Settle for $40 Million - College football and basketball players, including former Arizona State quarterback Sam Keller and UCLA forward Ed O’Bannon, have finalized a $40 million settlement against EA Sports and the NCAA’s licensing division. The players filed a suit for improperly using their likenesses, according to ESPN. “I’m thrilled that for the first time in the history of college sports, athletes will get compensated for their performance,” said the plantiffs’ co-lead counsel Steve Berman to ESPN. “It’s pretty groundbreaking.”   (Photo: Stephen Dunn/Getty Images)
