BET Awards 2021: Best Looks From The Acts Set To 'Pass The Mic' On DJ Cassidy's After-show Event
Just when you thought “Culture’s Biggest Night” couldn’t get any better, DJ Cassidy announced that he will be passing the mic to Ashanti, Ja Rule, Nelly, Akon, Kelis, Fat Joe, Fabolous, Sean Paul, and over a dozen other surprise guests right after the BET Awards 2021 on Sunday, June 27 at 11:30 ET/8:30 PT.
“This edition of Pass The Mic will be the greatest party of all time and will celebrate the greatest party records ever made,” Cassidy shared about the musical event, titled DJ Cassidy’s Pass the Mic: BET Awards Edition. “The artists I've united for this special have inspired, transformed, and defined the culture for the last two decades.”
The famous DJ continued, “I am so honored to be passing the mic to so many icons in one night, culture’s biggest night!”

Ashanti dropped jaws when she performed at the Hammersmith Apollo rocking this boldy patterned two-peice ensemble. Showing off her tiny waistline, the "Happy" singer caused quite a stir in a stylish bodysuit and matching custom blazer that she cinched with an oversized black belt.
What we loved most about this fly performance look was the star's bold, oversized shades and the ruffled detailing on her jacket. Yes, sis!
Ja Rule: Q 100.5's Nightmare on Q Street
Never one to shy away from a shirtless moment, Ja Rule left fans drooling when he unzipped his fresh white hoodie during a live performance. There's no question that the "Caught Up" rapper has some serious swag, and his trendy sportswear and custom gold jewelry prove it.
Nelly: Supafest Music Festival
Nelly flexed onstage at the Supafest Music Festival. Proud of his workout gains, the "Hot In Herre" rapper displayed his chiseled biceps in a AC/DC muscle tanktop, which he paired with a matching black hat, a massixe diamond earring, and layers of dog chains.

Akon: MTV EMAs
Akon commanded attention during his international performance at the 2019 MTV EMAs. The "Right Now" rapper was all smiles as he danced onstage wearing a floral blazer, bright orange shirt, and fresh white pants. The charismatic entertainer pretty much blinded us when he flashed his diamond chain and pearly whites. Such an iconic moment!
Kelis: MC Theater
Lady in red! Kelis sizzled in a bright red wrap dress while performing on stage at the MC Theater. Giving us retro glamour, the "Milkshake" songstress completed her look with full and lustrous hair, red lipstick, and sexy metallic pumps!

Fat Joe wore a political statement on his chest when he took the stage at the MTV +1 The Vote 'Election Afterparty'. Dressed in a "Vote Or Die!" t-shirt, the "Lean Back" rapper completed his statement-making 'fit with a pair of blue jeans, dark shades, and layers of diamonds.

Fabolous: Puff Daddy and The Family Bad Boy Reunion Tour
Fabolous paid homage to The Notorious B.I.G. while performing at the Puff Daddy and The Family Bad Boy Reunion Tour. Rocking a graphic tee with the late rapper's likeness, the recording artist completed his look with destressed black jeans, a crisp white jacket, a snapback hat, fresh new kicks, and a huge diamond medallion.
Sean Paul: Kiss Haunted House Party
