When South African swimmer Chad le Clos tried to psych Michael Phelps out with an animated warm-up routine before the 200-meter butterfly semifinal early Tuesday morning, the most-decorated Olympian of all-time shot back the most sinister expression you'll ever see from an athlete.

Think WWE's The Undertaker or the damn grim reaper himself.

Wow. The cold expression became known as the #PhelpsFace on social media instantly, with people immediately questioning whether it could replace the Crying MJ meme. Hey...it's possible.

And of course, an onslaught of hilarious internet slander followed.
