Black Twitter Salutes Stacey Abrams’ Brilliance That Gave Joe Biden Georgia
The nation is still waiting for four battleground states to determine the outcome of the 2020 U.S. presidential election. Just over 24 hours ago, one of those states, Georgia, was not part of that equation, but early Friday morning (Nov. 6), votes for Democratic candidate Joe Biden overtook Donald Trump, placing the former vice president even closer to the presidency.
Georgia, which was a solid red state in previous elections, is turning blue and the roots of that historic transformation lies with former gubernatorial candidate and voting rights advocate Stacey Abrams. “So many deserve credit for 10yrs to new Georgia,” Abrams tweeted on Friday (Nov. 6). “Always John Lewis. Charge any omissions to my head. My heart is full.”
Abrams activism has left voters feeling empowered enough to cast their ballots and apparently cause a possible groundbreaking change in Georgia. And with 99% of the states' votes in, see how Black Twitter is celebrating Stacey Abrams’ brilliant strategy to flip Georgia.
