Chris Brown Home Invasion Links to Club Promoter
The armed robbers who broke into Chris Brown's house in the Valley may have received a tip from a nightclub promoter.
According to TMZ, law enforcement sources say that the three suspects were told that Brown was recently paid $50,000 in cash for an appearance, and was keeping it at the house. Reportedly, the robbers mentioned this to Brown's aunt while they were stealing from the singer, and holding a gun to her head.
So far, it seems like once the gunmen got the tip, they followed Brown to his hosting gig at a pre-Espy's party in Hollywood to be sure he wasn't home. Cops say that not many people knew how much money Brown was bringing in, and though he may have invited strangers into his house before, he never typically kept that amount of cash around.
Brown, who likes to quickly clear up drama for #TeamBreezy, has been mostly mum on the incident. He's likely coming up with yet another plan for what kinds of clubs he'll be playing in the future. Most of his recent social media posts are reminders that he's got a baby girl to think about; and this message (posted in the days before the robbery, but very apropros):
