Missy Elliott, Lenny Kravitz Join Katy Perry for Super Bowl Halftime Show
Katy Perry blew the dome off of University of Phoenix Stadium on Sunday night, earning rave reviews for her halftime performance at the Super Bowl. Highlights of her set included appearances by Missy Elliott and Lenny Kravitz, who both joined Perry on stage.
After an intro that included an animatronic lion and performances of her hits "ROAR" and "Dark Horse," Perry welcomed Kravitz to the stage for a duet of her first chart-topper "I Kissed a Girl." Midway through the performance, Missy Elliott made a dramatic appearance backed up by a group of dancers. Accompanied by Perry, she performed two of her classic hits, "Get Ur Freak On" and "Lose Control."
The pop diva wrapped up her performance with a rendition of her anthem "Firework," complete with actual fireworks over the stadium. All in all, it was a captivating and colorful set by Perry in the midst of a tense game between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots.
