Tiara Thomas to Headline Music Matters Showcase in NYC
Tiara Thomas is headlining BET Music Matters' takeover at SOB's in tonight (Aug. 13), when some of the biggest up-and-coming names in music will hit the stage and show the lucky crowd why they are some of the year's most buzzed-about artists.
Thomas, the singer/songwriter/guitarist who captured everyone's attention with her sultry singing voice on Wale's hit single "Bad," will perform songs from her upcoming debut album, Sallie Mae. She is an Indiana native and recently signed with Rico Love, who has produced records for Beyoncé, Usher and Chris Brown.
The free event will also include performances by Raphael Saadiq protégé Adrian Marcel, who delivered a scorching performance back in June at the Music Matters Stage during the BET Experience; as well as "Born II Sing" crooner Eric Bellinger; and sexy songstress Felicia Temple.
DJ Lyve and host Buttahman kick things off at 8 p.m. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
