Chris Brown Sued Over Alleged Nightclub Assault
The woman claiming Chris Brown injured her knee after pushing her to the ground at a Southern California nightclub last month wants legal retribution. Deanna Gines, 24, is suing for battery, assault and intentional infliction of emotional distress, reports TMZ.
Gines asserts that she and Brown, also 24, were in the VIP section of Anaheim's Heat Ultra Lounge when he shoved her, causing ligaments in her right knee to tear. Afterward, she called into TMZ Live and said that all she wanted was an apology. "What I want is an apology because if anything, yes, it hurt my knee physically and it also hurt emotionally at the same time," she said.
The singer never responded and now Gines will settle for a minimum of $25,000.
After the accusation made news, Brown denied involvement, tweeting, "I didn't do anything." Ultra's owner also came to his defense calling the accusations "false."
The Grammy winner is also currently facing a hit-and-run charge stemming from a May car accident that led to his probation being revoked. He has pleaded not guilty.
