Soulja Boy Talks "Juice" Remake and Announces Waka Flocka's Role
Like it or not, Soulja Boy is going hard with Juice. Though some have criticized his decision to go full-speed ahead with the remake of the 1992 classic film, the ATL rapper has been heavily promoting his acting debut. Now, in a recent interview with rap-up.com, SB revealed that the movie will also star fellow ATL-based rapper Waka Flocka Flame.
"Waka Flocka’s gonna be in the movie. It’s gonna be crazy. He called, he reached out," Soulja Boy said. "I just felt like if I was gonna put anybody in the movie, it should make sense and be somebody that I really got a relationship with in the rap game, for real." Waka Flocka will play a member of Soulja Boy's crew.
Other details about the film have started to surface online as well. In an interview with xxlmag.com, SB said the movie will show a softer side to his character Bishop, with a few variations on the original script. But despite his admiration of the film, SB admits that he hasn't yet had a chance to listen to the film's beloved soundtrack.
The movie is currently shooting in Atlanta, and according to Soulja Boy, he's only got about three more shoots to go. A date for the film's release has not yet been determined.
