Starting in the midst of the crowd, the two artists hit the stage for a warm rendition of the loving tune as steam surrounded their feet. The crowd put their hands up and vibed to the moment.
SiR serenades the crowd with “Hair Down” and “John Redcorn”
Who else can make flight attendants and plaid go together and look so cool? SiR brought a creative rendition of the streets of California to the stage of the 2019 Soul Train Awards. Afterwards, he cleared the stage for a stirring, piano-driven solo. His performances of “Hair Down” and “John Redcorn” brought chills to the back of everyone’s necks.
Tisha Campbell and Tichina Arnold have some fun on stage
Tisha Campbell and Tichina Arnold’s epic opening performance was one for the books for any award show. For those that never knew: the two ladies can sing as good as any of the artists nominated for awards. In a hilarious dancing number, the ladies sang to their heart’s content as they danced like cats, took judge’s scores, and chased each other around the stage.

Queen Naija’s “Good Morning Text” speaks to the audience
Queen Naija shook the R&B game up with the release of “Medicine,” with its direct, on-the-nose lyrics that painted a picture of destroyed love. She performed a new song, “Good Morning Text,” at the 2019 Soul Train Awards that continued this idea of a finished relationship. Confidently strolling around the stage in a glittery ensemble, the singer was a legend in the making, showcasing the kind of stage presence to stand with the best.
Yolanda Adams performs the ultimate medley
Gospel legend Yolanda Adams truly made the stage into a church at the 2019 Soul Train Awards. Performing a massive medley of songs like “Victory,” “Watching Over You,” “Only Believe,” and “Open My Heart,” the singer had the crowd excited as rose petals and fiery backgrounds showcased her passion for her blessed songs.
Luke James, BJ The Chicago Kid, and Ro James play “All Your Love” and “Go Girl”
Starting in a bed and moving onto an intimate stage show, Luke James, BJ The Chicago Kid, and Ro James brought a nostalgic take on R&B performances to the stage at the 2019 Soul Train Awards. With suede outfits, glistening, shirtless skin, and 90s’ bandana-tying styles, the group of guys took it ‘ol school in an unforgettable show.

Pink Sweat$ shocks the audience with smooth “Honest” performance
Pink Sweat$ kept things as simple as can be with his performance of “Honesty,” and it worked out far better than he could imagine. Without all of the extra theatrical elements, the stripped down show let his stirring vocals shine through — so much that H.E.R. had to sing along in her seat, excited at the moment. Soft and genuine, the totality of his performance was instantly unforgettable.
