DaBaby And Lil Baby Reunite For Stunna 4 Vegas’ Criminally Hilarious ‘Do Dat’ Music Video
Stunna 4 Vegas dropped off the accompanying music video for his single, “Do Dat,” off his sophomore album, Rich Youngin, on Wednesday (Mar. 4) — and it's a riot.
Following in the footsteps of his Billion Dollar Baby boss man, the Reel Goats-directed visual employs the same comedic elements that have turned DaBaby’s music video into instant fan-favorites.
The 5-minute visual opens at “11:14 p.m.” and viewers are immediately introduced to Detective Johnson at his secret “Basement Hideout.” Johnson is knee-deep into his investigation into how Stunna 4 Vegas aka Rich Youngin “got rich in six months” before a wall of the evidence he’s compiled. The detective runs down his theory as to how he suspects Stunna accumulated so much wealth in such little time, which Johnson attributes to him engaging in some nefarious underworld activities. Namely, organized crime, prostitution, or narcotics. Alongside Stunna, Johnson also has a close eye on his two accomplices: DaBaby and Lil Baby. Or as Johnson tells it, “two grown men acting like babies.”
The video then backtracks to Stunna arriving at his cul-de-sac earlier that day, which Johnson theorizes is their headquarters. The North Carolina-born rapper pops out of an Escalade while high-school students look on. Detective Johnson is shown sleuthing out of sight in the bushes waiting for a clue to confirm his worst suspicions. In actuality, Stunna has started an anti-gun committee to convince his crew to turn from their destructive ways. Meanwhile, DaBaby — who is suspected of running a prostitution ring — actually teaches a women’s self-defense class. As Lil Baby comes in for his verse, viewers learn that Quality Control MC is successfully running his own little rabbit food distribution chain rather than the suspected peddling of weed.
In the video’s closing, DaBaby hilariously stumbles into Detective Johnson’s hidden hideaway, which it turns out is actually Stunna’s basement. The KIRK rapper locks Johnson into a headlock and roughs him up a little before he goes to his business.
With his cover blown, Johnson laments “I guess I’ll never know how that little n***a got rich in six months.”
