Megan Thee Stallion Has Officially Signed With Jay-Z's Roc Nation
As if we needed anymore irrefutable proof that Megan Thee Stallion was the Queen of the Summer, the Houston rapper just capped off the season with a major money move. The 24-year-old has been in her bag and levelling up in a major way after she dropped her Fever EP — and her hard work has finally paid off big time. Recently, Megan was spotted mingling with a number of rap’s luminaries at a Puma event in New York. The sighting had many speculating that the Stallion had lined up a major collaboration after clips of her talking with Roc Nation honcho Jay-Z surfaced. But her latest business maneuver has far exceeded fan’s expectations.
Taking to social media, Megan dropped some very big news on Friday (Sept. 13). The rising rap star announced that she has signed a management deal with Roc to join the ranks of one of hip-hop’s most celebrated family.
“I would like to announce that I am officially apart of the @rocnation fam!!!” the Tina Snow femcee proudly gushed on Instagram. She also shared the news on Twitter. To commemorate the moment, she posted a photo of snapshot of her and Jay cheesed up and grinning big. In case fan’s were concerned about Megan slowing down with college back in session, the Head Hottie promised fans “the grind don’t stop!”
Shortly after, Megan penned a heartrending tribute to her mother, who put her onto the rap game.
“After my mom passed I promised myself I was going to keep going hard because not only is music my dream but it was her dream for me too. I have days where I want to go hide and cry because she's not here but i kno that ain’t what she would want me to do! I know she’s proud of me!”
As of now, Megan will still release music through 300 Entertainment. The full extent of Meg’s management deal with Roc Nation is not clear at the moment but it’s a definite level up for the Houston bombshell. Hotties are overjoyed at the exciting news. They are already calling for a Megan-Beyoncé joint production in the near future. Megan is a huge fan of the Houston legend herself and has already said she is more than down for a union with the Queen.
Regardless, fans are overjoyed at the Stallion's come-up.
