Swae Lee recently released some new music and while many are jamming away to it, some, like Joe Budden, are less than fans.

During an episode of Budden’s podcast, the Rap veteran slammed Rae Sremmurd’s Drake-featured single “Won’t Be Late” by comparing it to Lee’s “unforgettable” French Montana collaboration.

"I cannot believe these n****s gave us an Afrobeat," Budden said. "If there's two people that know that we don't need anymore Afrobeats from them, it's [Swae and Drake]."

Podcast co hosts Jamil "Mal" Clay and Rory Farrell responded by talking up the track’s quality, albeit labeling it unoriginal. Budden refused to agree with that as well. "Now people think that I'm just the contrarian guy. It's not a good record. Are we in 2015? When did Drake's f****n' Afrobeats record come out? This is pure laziness. This is laziness. You've heard this song 90 times."

Swae Lee responded a first time by taking to Twitter. While he didn’t mention Joe Budden by name, he clearly was referring to him. “Everyone has an opinion ...unfortunately every opinion isn’t credible ,and some just don’t hold any weight  , don’t let someone’s small minded opinion influence yours.”

On the latest episode of his podcast, Joe rebutted in a very aggressive manner.  "We all like Swae Lee. So then shut the f**k up, Swae Lee," Budden said. "We only don't love you when you ain't informed and then you start clappin' back at some n****s that's doing their f****n' job, the way you doin' your job. I don't have to love every f****n' Swae Lee song. Hey, the record could work. It could be a huge hit, huge success, and some n****s could still not like it. That's OK. I'm so sick of this era of the sensitive artist. Shut the f**k up."

Finally, Swae Lee took to his Instagram to offer more criticism of Budden.

On Saturday (August 24) via his IG Story, Lee went off on the Mood Music rapper. "I know it's your job to comment on other people's lives and other people's success and other people's business and other people's craft,” he said. “That's your job to comment on other people's shit. You ain't laying no verses. You ain't dropped a single in centuries."

He then told Joe to listen to the song again. "Go listen to 'em again. Go listen to 'em five times if you need to," he concluded. "However long it take you to catch a vibe on them. You might be a little slow. You used to that old head music, all that old s**t."

Oop! Maybe this will be the cap to this back and forth. Knowing Joe Budden though, that’s probably unlikely.
