Waka Flocka's Message To Gucci Mane Deserves A Round Of Applause
Atlanta trap stars Waka Flocka and Gucci Mane used to be inseparable back in the days of Brick Squad. However, for a few years before Guwop’s prison stretch, the iconic duo began beefing. In the recent past, Waka has been relatively hush about speaking on his former right-hand man. In regard to Brick Squad collective, 2017 Waka shut down all hope of a reunion anytime soon. “That man know what he did. Deeper than music, deeper than anything anybody can even imagine. When it's like that, it's personal. So I [thought] let me make me a record to show you that we'll never be friends. If you cross the line, it's gonna go to something different. I was more loyal to him than he was to himself," he stated in an interview with The Therapist on VICELAND.
Months after, he ended off 2017 ready to dead all conversations surrounding himself and the "Lemonade" rapper. In a lengthy Twitter Q&A, Waka allowed fans to drill him one last time about Gucci and admitted that he still "got love" for his old frenemy. "All in all I still got hella love for gucci, what we got going is between us and music has nothing to do with it. Real Brick Squad fans understand this. He doing well I’m doing well. I hope hope no more Waka Gucci conversations pop up.. sweep it under the rug," he responded.
However, as we approach a new year, the "Hard In Da Paint" emcee has had a change of heart
Taking to Instagram with a heartfelt video PSA. "I don't got no more beef, arguments, smoke, anger towards nobody. If we ever had problems, beef, anything, I'm telling you for me, bro, it's over," he began. Waka, at first subtly addressed his former friend, "I ain't talk to my best friend, my little brother, bout almost a year... We was young n****s, man, with dreams and we really succeeded, but this game changed us..."
Then, he spoke to La Flare directly. "Aye Gucci, n***a let's chat. Let's sit the f*** down. All that playin' over with. You know how to get me, big dawg. YOU call me; nobody else."
Fans of the famed emcees are amped up over this potential reunion.
