Xscape Has Officially Changed Their Name After This Member Dropped Out
Kandi Burruss, one-fourth of the legendary R&B girl group Xscape, is holding true to her word.
Back in January, the songstress expressed that even though the ‘90s-established group came together for their Great Xscape Tour reunion, she wouldn’t be lending her vocals to any new music in order to protect their already iconic legacy.
But as Kandi dropped out of the group’s new music wave, the remaining ladies dropped off a number from the original quartet, as reflected in their new, transformative title: Xscap3. Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, LaTocha Scott and Tamika Scott chose to move forward without their fourth member, signing off on a fresh record deal with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) and brushing up on the group’s branding with the new name.
Despite their agreement to disagree, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star is still rejoining the ladies for the summer 2018 leg of their reunion tour. She’s even supporting their new, Kandi-less, musical project slated for a March release titled Here For It. Some fans, on the other hand, aren’t here at all for the switch.
Tiny cleared up some confusion concerning the new name and new music sans Kandi...
Following up, Kandi cleared the air even further for everyone to know that there was no beef associated with the divide
That doesn't mean some fans aren't divided about that decision, though...
