Jay-Z Shared A Few Words For Kanye West During His Chicago Concert
Jay-Z is using his 4:44 tour to address tons of controversy. After dishing on the injustices surrounding Meek Mill’s recent incarceration and squashing his long standing beef with his former mentor Jaz-O, Hov followed up by addressing his frenemy, Kanye West.
Jay-Z played Ye’s “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” while hitting the stage in Kanye West’s native of Chicago. Once he ended the hit single, Hov said, “Shout out Kanye West. Peace and Love.”
Hov’s shout out is a hopeful hint that things are on the mend between him and his former friend. The duo fell out late last year after Kanye addressed Jay-Z’s family in several rants during Yeezy’s Saint Pablo tour.
Jay-Z recently offered insight into how he and Kanye West could repair their ‘complicated relationship’ during an interview with Times magazine executive editor Dean Baquet. Hov said, “There’s gonna be complications in the relationship that we have to get through. And the only way to get through that is we sit down and have a dialogue and say, ‘These are the things that I’m uncomfortable with. These are the things that are unacceptable to me. This is what I feel.’ I’m sure he feels that I’ve done things to him as well.”
Hopefully Jay-Z and Kanye West can bury the hatchet in the near future.
