The imaginary beef that some have declared between femcees Cardi B and Nicki Minaj, but the “Bodak Yellow” star refuses to have with the Young Money raptress, is still a hot topic these days despite it’s apparent nonexistence.

What fans probably didn’t know existed, however, is a conversation held between the two ladies that Cardi recently revealed during another sit-down with the trio of The Breakfast Club recently.

Speaking on a host of topics, such as her rap beau thing, Offset, and challenges as a newly bred female rap star, DJ Envy popped the question about her relationship with Nicki. Envy recalled that the two were “going back and forth,” and asked Cardi whether they had a conversation, to which she replied with a simple, “Yeah.”

With not much detail left to give, specifically after Charlamagne Tha God asked whether they chopped things up via phone, Cardi stated that they “just conversated,” quickly flipping the conversation off of Nicki and onto her smash hit, “Bodak Yellow.” The unapologetically controversial one-third of the radio show’s hosts backpedaled, though, and probed Cardi further on just who she was aiming at with her bars from G-Eazy’s “No Limit” single.

“This is the thing—you know, people don’t understand, though, that I got like beef with 10 b*****s still in the hood, and I still be in the hood,” she clarified.

Cardi spits, “Can you stop with all the subs? B***h I ain’t Jared,” from the lyric in question, which many assumed was targeted at Nicki. But not only did Cardi reject the rumor, she also made very clear the status of her and The Pinkprint rapper’s relationship: no beef.

Elsewhere in the interview, Charlamagne mentioned that he’d heard Nicki asked Cardi to be in her video. Cardi also clarified that rumor, which she said wasn’t true, and was very interested in knowing where such gossip had been stemming from.

And there you have it, folks. Hopefully, everyone else is done with the Cardi versus Barbie banter by now, too.
