Humiliating: Meghan Markle’s Dad Reportedly Sold These Photos To Paparazzi To Cash In On Royal Wedding Mania
Just days before Meghan Markle is set to marry Prince Harry, a bombshell amongst her own family has been dropped.
According to The Daily Mail, Markle’s dad Thomas conspired with a celebrity photographer to shoot lucrative “candid” photos of himself preparing for his daughter’s wedding.
The 73-year-old retired Hollywood lighting director supposedly teamed up with LA-based paparazzi member Jeff Rayner for four phony shoots to make it look like the father of the bride was caught unaware he was being photographed.
Witnesses reported seeing Markle and Rayner show up together to plan out the scenes for nearly all the shoots. The photos show Markle reading news articles about his daughter’s wedding at an Internet cafe.
The shoots all reportedly got Rayner paid a reported $135,000. It’s unclear whether Thomas received any of the cash.
Britain's royal family repeatedly asked the paparazzi to leave Thomas alone in the lead up to the wedding. His representatives have recently issued a letter to international media requesting they not photograph him.
The pictures were reportedly taken in and around Rosarito, Mexico, where Thomas Markle lives.
