Hold Up! Did Usher Just Score A Huge Win In His Herpes Lawsuit?

The saga continues.

One of Usher's herpes accusers, Laura Helm, is reportedly having a change of heart with her case as, according to new reports, she is rethinking moving forward with her $20 million lawsuit after kicking her attorney to the curb.

TMZ reports that Helm's lawyer, Lisa West, filed a motion on Thursday to withdraw herself from the case simply stating that she could not "effectively represent" her client any longer. While West's reasoning appeared to tell one story, the site reports that her claim may not be true as, according to their sources, Helm fired her.

Furthermore, now that West is no longer attached to the case, Helm is reportedly "uncertain about continuing the legal battle with Usher" completely. The singer's attorney has already responded, filing a motion to dismiss the case, giving Helm until November 5 to make a definite decision.

Helm claimed in her lawsuit that she engaged in unprotected sex with the "OMG" singer and contracted herpes soon after. She said, however, in a phone conversation, that they always used condoms, contradicting her initial claim.
