Everything You Want To Know About Kron Moore – From The Cast Of Tyler Perry’s ‘The Oval’
Who doesn’t love a great villain? Especially one as unapologetic as First Lady Victoria Franklin on Tyler Perry’s The Oval. If you saw the series premiere of the show on BET last week, you know that Victoria Franklin is no Michelle Obama — but she always has a master plan.
The character was played to perfection by Kron Moore, so it’s no wonder people are already comparing her to Kerry Washington’s Olivia Pope, and Viola Davis’ Annalise Keating. Moore is certainly a star on the rise, and here’s everything you need to know about her...
She’s A Detroit Girl With Southern Flavor
Moore is a Detroit native who is now based in Atlanta who graduated from Southfield High School. She also studied at the University of Alabama.
"I never anticipated going into acting. I acted as a child but never really took it too seriously, and after college, I went back to school for television news broadcasting and thought I wanted to be a news anchor and found very quickly that that’s not something I wanted to do because it’s just a difficult role, but while I was in school, one of my instructors encouraged me to seek out a talent agent and I really wasn’t that interested because i was really shy," she told BET.com of her start in her hometown. "Something just told me to go for it, and I got a talent agent in Michigan — that’s where I’m from — and shortly after finding a talent agent, I started booking roles."
She’s A Self-Described “Old-School Hip-Hop Head.”
Her favorite rhyme is Lauryn Hill’s verse on the track “Zealots” from the Fugee’s The Score.

I add a "Motherf****r" so you ignant niggas hear me
Crew remember take notes, as I sow my rap oats
And for you biting zealots, here's a quote
Moore hasn’t forgotten that Lauryn Hill has bars! We can totally see this verse as Victoria Franklin’s anthem.
She’s Known To Drop An Inspirational “Word” On Her Instagram.
Especially ones aimed at all those grinding towards success. “Are you genuinely happy for those who are happy or do you loathe them for their joy.” Well go off, Kron!
She Could Sell You A House
As recently as December 2018 Moore worked as a realtor with Keller Williams at the same time as she pursued her acting career.
"Last year, I didn’t think things would materialize for me because it was just going so slow. So, I went and studied for my real estate license [and] I became a licensed realtor towards the end of the year," she told us. "And I didn’t get a chance to use my license really to practice before I started booking at the beginning of this year. I booked a couple commercials at the beginning of this year, and then I booked DC Universe’s Stargirl, and then shortly thereafter, The Oval came around and I booked it. So, it’s been an amazing journey, it’s been a tough journey but I’m so grateful for the opportunity to play with Tyler Perry."
